Tablet loses from bigger smartphone
The market for tablets continues to fall. And that is because of the competition of the larger smartphones. This according to Emerce based on numbers from researcher IDC who monitors the worldwide tablet market.
These numbers show that the worldwide tablet market has fallen for the 13th consecutive quarter. In the fourth quarter of 2017 49.6 million tablets were sold worldwide, a decrease of nearly 8% compared to the same period in the previous year. Apple continues to be the biggest supplier of tablets (market share 26.6%), but amazon.com (market share 15.6%) has taken Samsung´s (14.1%) second place.
