Tablet market 100 million pieces smaller than expected

tabletThe tablet market has not only stalled, but will be 100 million pieces smaller than expected, according to the latest predictions. Reason is, according to research by Gartner and IDC, mostly the rise of smartphones with larger screens. Growth will continue, according to recode.net, because a large percentage of laptop users will want to replace their laptop with a tablet with keyboard cover.
The new numbers support the trend which experts call the revival of paper and which will lead to multi channel publishing. The medium will be chosen for cost, effectiveness and what the reader really wants, rather than the next tech-hype.
