Record sales UK books

According to Publishers Association 2016 was a record year for book publishers. Remarkable is that the printed book scored higher than digital. The sales of printed books grew with 8% to 3 billion UK Pounds, for the first time since 2012. Digital book sales were up to 1.7 billion UKP, a growth of 6%. Most popular were childrens´ books and non-fiction. Educational and professional books also scored well. Great Brittain saw a growth of export of 6% to 2.6 billion UKP, more than half of total turnover.
