New offices for Océ

Printer manufacturer Océ will start building a new HQ in Venlo in May 2018. The new premises will house 550 employees. Construction company BAM will build the offices.

This had already been announced in 2015, with the idea that the build would be finished in 2017. Océ signed the contract with BAM on 2 January, according to radio Venlo.
The new HQ will be 15,500 square metres and will be close to the current offices. The new HQ will be a sustainable build. The various office spaces will be connected by green open spaces.
It is expected that it will take about a year and a half to complete the construction.
Mother company Canon thinks the Venlo offices are a strategic location and wants add to the current capacity for ink production, among which inks for sheet and rotation printers.
The building concept ´Green Landmark´ is based on Canon´s Kyosei philosophy: working and living together for the general good. Green, public spaces, the so-called Green Plazas, connect employees and visitors. These spaces which connect the floors and office spaces, will be inside gardens and act as central meeting spaces.
