PrintTalk 1.5: CIP4 adds stock management, order status notifications and percentage calculations to the JDF envelope

With the release of PrintTalk 1.5, CIP4 has added a number of much requested functions to her business information language. PrintTalk is an e-envelope for JDF making it possible to hold administrative and production data of an order. Web2Print or eCommerce system orders can be automatically fed into management information systems, and production planning, calculations and offers can be made automatically as well. PrintTalk 1.5 adds requested capabilities to subscribe to order-status updates, request stock levels, support for multiple JDF items on the same order (Bill of Materials), and manage percentage calculations on invoices. CIP4 has developed this update to complement JDF 1.5, but PrintTalk is also backward-compatible.
