Our industry is recovering

remkokillaars uit het dal klimmenIt was not only KBA who published good numbers. Heidelberg, ManRoland, Sappi and Kodak also showed positive results.
Heidelberg showed an increase in its EBITDA and EBIT (indicators for profitability). Langley, ManRoland´s owner, expects to make a profit of nearly a 100 million this year. Sappi´s profit was up 3 million in the 2nd quarter of this year compared to the same period last year. Kodak was able to contain their losses and increased their Sonora Process Free Plates sale by 66%. Add to that the fact that the turnover for US printers was up 5,3%, according to Dr Joe Webb of WhatTheyThink making June the best month for printers since 2010 and you cannot but conclude that we are slowly recovering.
