OffsetOnDemand: the new Koori Lithrone GX44RP

Komori has introduced a new OffsetOnDemand offset press. The Lithrone GX44RP is a full colour duplex press which is not only remarkable for its level of automation, but also for its maximum paper size of 840x1150mm. Thanks to the special gripper system the maximum print area is also remarkable, 820x1140mm. The automation with the KHS-AI and Full A-APC ensures superfast plate changes. Rapid drying is guaranteed by the H-UV system with which the GX44RP is equipped. Another novelty is the duplex system which uses the same side for perfecting. This means that there is no extra gripper margin needed which reduces paper waste.
The new Lithrone is not the fastest press in its class, with a maximum of 15,000 prints per hour, but if the price is as competitive as other Litrhone presses it seems to be the ideal press for smaller quantities which make OffsetOnDemand quite possible.
