Mobile wall printer

What is the best way of getting your own design onto walls? This was the question Benjamin Loinger, graphic designer and student teh the Johanneum technical university in Austria asked himself. He invented an inkjet printer which can print vertically. The printer looks a bit like a paint roller, the printhead is connected to a telescopic rod. Tablets, laptops or smartphones can send an image to the mobile wall printer which in turn prints the image directly onto the wall. The large printhead prints each colour separately and has two sensors which manage the register. Loinger was awarded the IF Student Design Award for the printer, but is still waiting for financial backing to bring his invention to market.
