QX 2017: Lay out, photo editing, drawing and digital publishing in one program

Quark announced a new version of its Xpress, named QX 2017. Quark crosses the borders of what has always been primarily a design program. QX 2017 will include much improved layout models, but also Photoshop and Illustrator features. On top of that QX 2017 promises to allow for digital publishing with responsive HTML5 as well as the possibility of creating an iOS app for the Apple app store. More good news is the fact that Quark decided not to go for a subscription service, but will offer a license for unlimited use. QX 2017 is priced at 999 Euro, upgrades start at 199 Euro.
If Quark delivers a well functioning and bug-free product by the end of the month this will probably mean trouble for Adobe, especially for smaller companies or companies just starting out who can do the whole creative process with just one program.
