PrintScreen, a screen that you can print yourself

id37647It all seems a bit science fiction-y but scientists at the University of Saarbrücken have come up with a technology that can print a 0,1mm screen using special ink. Not only is the screen flexible but can also be touch sensitive. Printing will cost about 20 Euros for an A4 size and could for example bring a book cover to life. Other applications could be combinations of synthetic materials, leather, stone, metal or wood. The technology they developed can also be used with 3D printing which means that basically anything is possible.
