Océ researching new inkjet technology

inkjetOcé, together with the Technical University Eindhoven, the University of Twente and the Foundation for Fundamental Research on Matter (FOM), will start developing new inkjet technology. The official start of the project ´Fundamental Fluid Dynamics Challenges in Inkjet Printing´ was 27 September in Venlo.

Goal of the project is to get new insights into the complex inkjet properties and the interaction between printheads and substrates. The research will focus on drop formation, the prevention of air bubbles and the drying of drops on paper.
The research will form the basis of Oce´s new inkjet technology in future high volume production printers. The project is expected to continue for 6 years with a cost of 6.3 million euro of which half is funded by Océ.
