Datalase: inline printing with laser sensitive inks

Datalase is a UK company which supplies pigments for the ink industry, laser reactive inks. The biggest laser producers in the world use this technology. This technology can be used in combination with other technology as it is essentially an ink-free process.
For example labels are treated with this laser sensitive ink. The laser writes a barcode and address on the pre-treated labels. The ink reacts to the laser and the message is non-erasable. Another advantage is that Datalase is clean, safe and superfast.
The technology is also used in the food industry. It is cost effective because it allows for individually printed packaging against low prices.
The solution enables high-speed printing of more than 1,000 products an hour. This is, of course, a monochrome solution. Which is why Datalase is an excellent addition to the existing print and finishing solutions.
