Chris Costello: Designer of the most hated font

Most hated font PapyrusAfter Comic Sans by Vincent Connare, Chris Costello´s Papyrus is the most hated font, according to Fastcodesign. Papyrus was designed in 1982 when Costello was bored at his first job at a famous advertising agency. Papyrus was developed from some scribbles and is now one of the most used and downloaded fonts. From obituaries to “classy” business cards are being made with this font which comes standard in any Windows package.
Costello never made any money with it, but he doesn´t care about that. Neither does he care about the title “most hated font designer”. On our videos page you will find a hilarious video about font use. And read the complete story about Papyrus on Fastcodesign via this link.
