Blendle expands to include photography

BlendleDigital kiosk Blendle will also start offering photo reports. Since its start in 2014 Blendle has focused on paid articles and later on newspapers and magazines. They will now include photography in this service.
On their blog director Bas van Beek says that there are so many beautiful photo reports that do not get into newspapers or magazines. “This is a shame, because good photography can tell a story like no written story can.” Users will, just as with the articles, pay per report.  First partner is photo agency Hollandse Hoogte.

This is another step in Blendel´s success story. In October 2014 The New York times and Axel Springer SE announced that they invested 3 million euro in the company. Blendle´s worth is currently estimated at 13 million euro, with 100,000 registered users. 20% of those is said to have upgraded their subscription. The company is said to have half a million users. “Blendle is doing well”, says co-founder Alexander Klöpping. “We have put a lot of effort into our launch in Germany and the first results are very good.”
